An extraordinary place in the heart of Ohio
A mid-sized teaching university located halfway between Columbus and Cleveland, Ashland University is the educational home to some 2,200 undergraduates and 3,800 graduate students. We offer more than 70 undergraduate majors and award degrees at the certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. More than 80 percent of our faculty hold terminal degrees in their field.
That’s Ashland by the numbers.
Ashland by the heart is a campus that embraces the dreams and goals of every student on campus. We are dedicated to not only providing you with the very best education, but also with outstanding preparation for a satisfying career. The average student to professor ratio is 15:1, which means you’ll receive individual attention in all your classes from professors who get to know you well.
Excellence abounds in every college and department at Ashland University.
Our Toxicology major is one of the few such programs in the nation. That’s true of our Sport Communication and Actuarial Science majors too. Our College of Education is renowned as one of the best in teacher preparation in the state, and our History and Political Science majors have the unique advantage of having the Ashbrook Center on campus. Each year the Ashbrook Center brings top political minds to campus including such visitors as Colin Powell, Edwin Meese and Margaret Thatcher.
But you’ll do more than study at Ashland. From theatre productions to musical performances, Greek life to our award-winning intramural and 20 intercollegiate sports programs, there are hundreds of ways to get involved on campus.
We look forward to welcoming you to our campus, where you can dream big and we’ll help you chart the course to get there.
