Houses the History/Political Science, Psychology, Criminal Justice/Sociology, Social Work and Nursing Departments. Includes seven lecture classrooms and one laboratory.

Arts and Humanities Building

Houses the Biology, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry and Physics Departments. The building includes eight science laboratories, one computer lab and five lecture classrooms.

Library
Nine-story building housing the Universitys library holdings. In addition, AU is a member of OhioLINK, giving students borrowing access to more than 31 million library items statewide and full-text search access to over 90 research databases. The Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs, the coin and paper money collection in the Numismatic Center, International Student Services, and the Weltmer Instructional Program Center of the College of Education are located in the Library.

Houses three academic classrooms, a computer lab, and the Smetzer Auditorium, used for larger seminary classes.
 
   
Roger Darling Memorial Library
Includes over 80,000 volumes and over 500 periodical publications. The librarys catalog is a joint computer catalog with Ashland University and includes all holdings of the AU Library, and AU Media Center in addition to the Seminary library.

Sandberg Leadership Center
Houses classrooms for the Doctor of Ministry program and other specialized seminars and conferences. The Smetzer Counseling Center, which occupies one wing of the center, contains offices and counseling labs.

Located in an office complex in Southfield, Michigan. Includes five classrooms, a reference library, a computer lab, and office space.

Located on the eastern campus of Cuyahoga Community College in Highland Hills, Ohio. The seminary rents classroom and office space at the campus.
 
   
Emerge Ministries

Dining & Conference Facilities at AU


Ashland University has a number of outstanding facilities available for groups or organizations planning banquets, workshops, conferences, seminars, conventions or camps. The University services a wide variety of constituents, including educational, business, religious and/or athletic groups.

 

Dining Services
Ashland University's Student Dining is an award winning nationally recognized dining program. The newly renovated dining hall caters to about 2,400 students daily. The dining facility was designed in the style of a "Food Court" featuring fresh pasta, rotisserie chicken, sizzling salads, eggs to order and much more. The Dining Hall is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., MOnday through Friday and on Saturday and Sunday with a brunch from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. Summer hours may vary depending upon customer needs.

Catering & Conferences
The award winning Ashland University Catering department is host to 1,100 events annually, bringing more than 100,000 guests to campus each year. Events range from coffee breaks to formal dinners for up to 1,000 people. Such dignitaries as Colin Powell, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan have visited the campus and have had events catered in their honor by the department. The staff is fully equipped and qualified to provide service to any on-campus site.

Most catered events are held in the 20,000-square-foot, air-conditioned John C. Myers Convocation Center. The largest banquet facility between Cleveland and Columbus offers six rooms for hosting your event with a variety of configurations possible. The rooms range from seating for six at a table arrangement to theatre style seating for 2,000. All of the amenities for adding the right touch to any corporate meeting, wedding reception, class reunion, conference, seminar, family reunion or any other type of event is available by just making one phone call.

A special area of focus for this development is the summer conference season, which runs from mid-May to mid-August. An average of 35 groups a summer visit our campus, ranging from church camps to cheerleading groups and everything in between. The conferences range in size from 50 to 2,200 participants. All accommodations from meals, housing, meeting space, etc. are handled through the Catering and Conferences Department. The University has six residence halls which provide housing for more than 1,400 people.

Another aspect of the Dining and Conference services is the Accent Room which offers fine dining to the public. The 100-seat restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and for Sunday Brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Display cooking is a special feature that is offered to customers.
