The newly renovated and expanded Kettering Science Center features up to date teaching and research laboratories as well as classrooms and offices, and houses the equipment used by the deparments of Biology/Toxicology, Chemistry/Geology/Physics, and Mathematics/Computer Science.

The University also manages five environmental preserves for research and conservation: the Rupp preserve (a 10 acre prairie), the Black Fork Wetlands preserve (a 300 acre wetland), the Stoffer preserve (a 10 acre forest and field), the Canfield preserve (a 1 acre stream habitat), and the Dayspring preserve (a 50 acre mature forest).
