In the summer of 2007 I worked with Dr. Weidenhamer using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) tubing to measure the rhizosphere dynamics of thiophenes exuded by marigold plants.  These thiophenes are potent phytotoxins and have a wide range of biological activity.
