Speech Communication Program

Speech communication students hone their speaking, listening, writing, organizational, and leadership skills in concentrations such as public relations, persuasive studies, intercultural studies, and performance studies.

Through classroom and internship experiences, students have many opportunities to practice public speaking, argumentation and debate, and small group discussion, skills widely recognized as being keys to success in most fields.

A minor broadens the students education and increases options after graduation. Commonly chosen minors are business, political science or psychology.
