SubmissionsRiver Teeth invites submissions of creative nonfiction, including narrative reportage, essays, and memoirs, as well as critical essays that examine the emerging genre and that explore the impact of nonfiction narrative on the lives of its writers, subjects, and readers. River Teeth will accept submissions online beginning in August 2008. Until that time, we will be catching up on our backlog of submissions. Submissions mailed to us before August will be returned unread. River Teeth uses an online submission manager to read and track your submissions. In order to use the Submission Manager, you will need to set up an account. Your contact information will only be used to communicate news and events about River Teeth and respond to your submissions. Log in to the Submission Manager to submit your essay. River Teeth will consider simultaneous submissions as long as writers follow the normal etiquette of such submissions by indicating so in a cover letter and notifying us immediately if the piece is picked up by another journal. River Teeth does not consider previously published pieces, either in print or online. All rights return to the author after publication. Published writers will receive two complimentary issues of the journal and the option to purchase more at a discounted rate from the University of Nebraska Press. While we prefer to receive your submissions through the Submission Manager, essays may still be mailed to: RIVER TEETH Ashland University 401 College Avenue Ashland, OH 44805 The editors of River Teeth try to respond to submissions within three to six months. Responses may take longer over the summer months.
