Ashland University Language Lab

Language Learning Technology

The language lab is located in 201 Patterson Technology Center.  Courses in French, German, Spanish and English as a Second Language at Ashland University are taught in media equipped classrooms in Patterson, Bixler, and sometimes other classrooms across campus.  All language classrooms have an instructor station with a networked and Internet connected computer, DVD and VCR and ceiling mounted projector.  Some classrooms have additional equipment such as a document projector or Smartboard.  In addition, Patterson Hall is part of the Ashland University wireless network.

 

Language lab computer booths The language laboratory, located in Room 201 of the Patterson Instructional Technologies Center, serves students in the Department of Foreign Languages and the Ashland Center for English Studies . Students studying English as a Second Language, French, and Spanish can come to the lab to do audio, video, and computer lessons assigned as part of their coursework. The lab is managed by Foreign Language instructor Mary Ball, office 213 Bixler Hall, tel 5945, and is staffed by student assistants. Students using video stations
