The Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and the Small Business Development Center at Ashland University will continue the Entrepreneurship Workshop series with a workshop on the business plan and research. The workshop will be in Dauch 105 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Other workshops will be given on the following dates, all from 7-8:30 pm in Dauch 105:
- Mission and Vision Workshop, Tuesday, October 24
- Product and/or Service Description Workshop, Tuesday, November 14
- Operation Plan Workshop, Tuesday, November 28
- Marketing Plan Workshop, Date to be announced

From 8 am to 12:30 pm in the Dauch College of Business and Economics, the Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, the Small Business Development Center, the Small Business Administration, and Key Bank will be hosting "Business Essentials for Women Entrepreneurs." Dr. Daniel Fox, the Director of the Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Ashland University, will be speaking about Entrepreneurship at a "Table Talk" luncheon discussion series event. The lecture will take place at Ashland Buehler's from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The seminar is free, and "The Mill" menu will be available for those who attend to purchase a meal. On Saturday, September 9, 2006 from 9 am to 3 pm, The Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and the Manufacturing Competitiveness Initiative of Ashland University will be hosting a Fair for the Ashland County Manufacturing is Alive Showcase in the Ridenour room of Dauch College. At this fair, manufacturers and their supporters will be displaying information about their plants, their products, and the job skills that they will be needing through 2010.
Also on this date, nine manufacturers will be hosting plant tours of their plants for the Ashland Community, but specifically targeted for high school and college students.
The purpose of this Showcase is to show high school and college students that manufacturing is alive and well in Ashland County , that there are good paying jobs in manufacturing, and to stimulate the students interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing.
There will be $50 door prize drawings at each plant tour and at the fair. There will also be a questionnaire for students to complete consisting of 15 questions about the manufacturers. Those that get all questions answered correctly will be entered into a $100 drawing. The drawings are being sponsored by the Ashland Small Manufacturers Council. The Ashland County Department of Jobs and Family Services is sponsoring the advertisement for this event.

On Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 7 to 8:30 pm, the Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies will be hosting an Entrepreneurship Workshop. During the workshop students will be introduced to the Entrepreneurship minor, the Entrepreneurial Center located in Dauch 111, and much more. The workshop is vital to any student interested in started his/her own business or in the Entrepreneurship minor and where it can take a student.
