The Manufacturing Initiative networks with:
Ashland University's Dauch College of Business and Economics and the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. The University can provide internship programs and student projects in Marketing, Accounting, Information Technology, and other business functions. Staff, faculty, students, and alumni are available for assistance.
Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Ashland University. SBDC provides quality, in-depth counseling and training assistance to small businesses in order to promote growth, expansion, innovation, increased productivity, and improved management.
Manufacturing
Advocacy & Growth Network (MAGNET) whose mission is to support,
educate, and champion northeast Ohio manufacturing with the goal
of transforming the region's economy into a powerful global player.
The International
Trade Assistance Center counselors provide export assistance
to small manufacturers. The ITAC provides information, resources,
referrals, and counseling for exporting businesses.
Training
Programs:
North
Central State College Kehoe Center has state-of-the-art CNC
training machines, a tool and die training center, and computerized
training in Advanced Manufacturing-Integrated Systems.
The Ohio State University-Mansfield Campus Center for Corporate and Community Education provides training for Safety, Quality, and business related functions.
There are also four local
career centers that provide adult and student training on a variety
of industrial applications.
