Bachelor's Plus Program
Early Childhood Education Licensure
This is an initial licensure program for individuals wanting to teach children in prekindergarten through grade 3 classrooms. They may teach in public and private classrooms, work with young children who have mild to moderated needs, and in preschool settings. Students enrolling in the Bachelor's Plus program have already earned a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Several courses from this program will apply to a Master of Education degree in either Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Intervention Specialist.
In addition to successfully completing required coursework and an exit portfolio, students must also take the following licensure exams and meet state-mandated scores:
- Principles of Learning & Teaching test: Early Childhood (Test 30521)
- Education of Young Chilidren (Test 20021)
