  • Financial Aid application data must be verified, sometimes with source documents like tax returns.
Having Aid Disbursed
  • Students must sign loan promissory notes and other required forms.
  • Federal and most state aid cannot be disbursed more than ten days before the beginning of the term, and is applied to the student's account at Ashland University Private loans and scholarships are disbursed by check. It is possible to designate a power of attorney to pick up checks and sign them on your behalf.
  • Refunds will be disbursed after Ashland University campus fees are paid. If you withdraw from school during this term, Ashland University has a financial aid refund policy which determines how financial aid received is adjusted.
Applying for Aid for the Next Semester or Year
  • Students have to reapply for federal or state aid each year.
  • Satisfactory completion of credit must be shown each term. Satisfactory completion is noted by a "C-" or better in all enrolled classes.
  • Award notices and other documents must be sent to students for their signatures or must go to a person with a valid power of attorney.
