Programs Offered

The Ashland University Global Education Office has applications for all of the programs listed below.  After your research, please call 419-289-5870 to make an appointment with the Director of Global Education.

College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS)
Students can select from a variety of programs located in 28 countries.  At its September 2004 meeting, CCIS approved a new study abroad program in India.  Details will be posted on our website when program information becomes available.

Center for Cross-Cultural Studies (CC-CS)

Spanish language majors and minors can participate in this very advanced program only upon the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Languages.

AU in Mexico
Study Spanish intensively in Cuernavaca, Mexico and earn six hours towards your B.A. foreign language requirement.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of FL 171 and 172.

Faculty Led Programs
Participate in a short-term (typically 4 weeks or less) course conducted by AU faculty. 

Student Teaching Abroad

Education majors have the opportunity to student teach abroad in elementary and secondary schools in 14 nations worldwide.

University of Erfurt

In Fall 2004, Ashland University entered a partnership with the University of Erfurt in Germany.   Students who have taken college-level German can study at this world-renowned institution during a spring semester at the price of AU tuition.  This is the only semester-long study abroad experience where students can use their spring AU grants and scholarships.
