Consortium for International Studies (CCIS)
If you have been accepted into a CCIS program, Ashland University can nominate one student per year to be considered for a $1,000 scholarship ($500 for summer). Nominees must have demonstrated performance in scholarship, leadership, and service.
Institute for International Education (IIE) Midwest Networkers Scholarship
Applicants must be students in good academic standing and have had little or no previous study abroad experience at the university level. Financial need may also be taken into consideration. These scholarships may be applied to a study abroad experience of any duration greater than 28 days in any part of the world. Applications for semester-long programs or longer are encouraged, as are applications for non-Western countries.
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
This program enables students who have limited financial means the opportunity to participate in undergraduate study abroad opportunities worldwide through awards of up to $5,000 for undergraduate students to participate in study abroad programs of up to one academic year. To be eligible, students must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application and cannot be studying abroad in a country currently under a U.S. Department of State Travel Warning or in Cuba.

OFLA Study Abroad Scholarship for University Students
The Ohio Foreign Language Association offers nine scholarships to pre-service teachers who are in a declared licensure program and need to improve their language skills by studying abroad.
Freeman-ASIA: Awards for Study in Asia
This program, generously supported by the Freeman Foundation, provides awards up to $7,000 for eligible undergraduate students to pursue study abroad opportunities in East and Southeast Asia.
Bridging Scholarships for Study Abroad in Japan
Stipends of $2,500 (semester programs) or $4,000 (academic year programs) are awarded by the Association of Teachers of Japanese to undergraduates in any field. Japanese language study is not a prerequisite. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents enrolled as undergraduates in a U.S. college or university.
David L. Boren NSEP Undergraduate Study Abroad Scholarships
These scholarships provide funding for American students to study abroad in Asia, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, the Newly Independent States, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Award amounts range from a maximum of $10,000 a semester to $20,000 for an academic year.
