The University is part
of the small city of Ashland where people are friendly and welcoming to
international students. A sign just outside of town truthfully declares,
"Welcome to Ashland: World Headquarters of Nice People". The
quiet, peaceful city is about an hour from Ohio's largest cities--Cleveland
and Columbus. Ashland University is located in a residential area of the
city, about a ten-minute walk from downtown.

While studying in the ACCESS, you will
be living within a day's drive of many of the great cities of the U.S.A.,
including: Boston; New York City.; Washington D.C.; Philadelphia; Chicago;
Detroit; and Saint Louis. A day's drive can also take you to Canada and
to great natural attractions such as Niagara Falls, the Great Lakes, the
Smoky Mountains and the Atlantic ocean.
In addition to living within driving
distance of many of the great cities and tourist destinations in the U.S.,
you will be living in the heartland of the U.S.A. You will be able to see
many of the characteristics that make American culture distinct in your
surroundings and experiences with people. |
