Your
instructors in ACCESS are experienced
language teachers with master's degrees
or equivalent professional training
and experience in teaching English
to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
They have all taught for several years
in the ACCESS program as well as overseas.
All ACCESS instructors have lived
abroad for extended periods and have
abilities in languages other than
English. They know, from their personal
experiences as well as from their
professional training, how it feels
to struggle and learn a new language
in a new culture.
ACCESS instructors help you use the language for real communication, not for answering merely questions on language tests. They mix classroom study with activities that let you practice how to improve your skills in talking to Americans and to others who do not share your first language. |

ACCESS instructors do more than teach excellent ESL classes; they help create a caring, family-like atmosphere for you. They encourage you in your studies and help you adjust to the culture here. They talk to you daily to check your progress and to get to know you personally. They will join you in recreational activities and help you answer questions and solve problems that you could encounter in your new environment. Click on the name to send an email message.
