UNCF/Merck Science Initiative Scholarships & Fellowships

The UNCF Merck Science Initiative is an innovative approach that creates opportunities in the biological, chemical, and engineering sciences for African American students throughout the country.  You can apply online at http://umsi.uncf.org/applyonline  by December 5.

Undergraduates can receive up to $25,000 in Science Research scholarships with internship, mentoring and networking opportunities.  Eligibility criteria:  college juniors with science or engineering majors and 3.3 GPA.

Graduates can receive Science Research Dissertation Fellowships up to $53,300 with mentoring and networking opportunities.  Eligibility criteria:  Ph.D. or equivalent degree candidates engaged in dissertation research in the biological, chemical, or engineering fields.
