Global Passport Strategies

The Global Competency requirement, as part of Ashland University's Core Curriculum, prepares students to think with reason, act with skills, and live with the values of a liberally educated person as global citizens.

Core GPS Courses focus on teaching you to communicate effectively across linguistic and cultural boundaries, to understand the world from a perspective other than your own, and to interact effectively with diverse societies and cultures in an increasingly globally interdependent world.

Choose one of the three options below to gain the experiences and skills needed to live and work as a citizen aware of your global responsibilities.

Whether it be through language study, travel, or coursework that allows you to cross borders, the GPS component of Ashland University’s Undergraduate Core Curriculum helps prepare you for a rapidly changing world.
