Library Resources


The Ashland University Library Catalog represents materials held by Ashland University Library and Ashland Theological Seminary Library, including books, periodicals, musical scores, audiovisual material (CDs, DVDs), Instructional Resource Center materials and Ashbrook Center materials. The catalog also includes links to e-books and online journals.

The OhioLINK Library Catalog is a virtual statewide library listing items owned by OhioLINK member libraries. The catalog provides publication information and indicates where copies are located and whether copies are available for borrowing. 

WorldCat is the world's most comprehensive online library catalog, encompassing the holdings of thousands of libraries in the U.S. and beyond.



The AU Library offers a wide array of databases. This listing includes OhioLINK database resources and databases specific to Ashland University Library.



E-books are online books that can be read within your web browser. Some can also be downloaded to your device.

You will find e-books within the AU Library catalog, and they are included in OneSearch.  Full-text searching can be done on each of AU's e-book platforms.

Dissertations written by Ashland University students can be viewed in OhioLINK's Electronic Theses and Dissertations Center.

You can also search for dissertations in the library catalog.

Rowe Practicums, Honors Theses & MFA Theses

Ashland University Rowe Practicums  and MFA Theses are part of the circulating collection. They are located in the Reed Room on the ground floor of the Library.

Ashland University Honors Theses are located at the beginning of the Reference Collection on the main floor of the Library.

As with dissertations, practicums and theses can be searched for in the library catalog.

Ashbrook Center Statemanship Theses

Locate undergraduate theses authored by student scholars in the Ashbrook program.
