Spectrum Series
Spectrum Arts & Lecture Series is a collection of cultural events which offer students as well as those in the community and area unique opportunities. The well known speakers and cultural artists expand the cultural knowledge of attending audiences.
Previous Spectrum speakers have included Charles Kuralt, Yakov Smirnoff, Phil Donohue, Bertice Berry, Victor Borge, Ralph Nader and Mark Russell. A sampling of other popular cultural events include the Chinese Magic Circus, New Vic Theatre Company, the Joffrey Dayton and Ohio Ballets and the Canadian Brass.

Theatre Productions
Ashland University Theatre presents four major productions yearly ranging from Ancient Greek productions to Shakespearean works to the most recent American plays and musicals.
Each year, the theatre department hosts Theatre Youth Workshops which provide area youth training in the theatre arts. Ashland University is the only college/university in the state to host the Ohio Educational Theatre Association State Conference.

Ashland Symphony Orchestra
The Ashland Symphony Orchestra, a community-college effort, is stationed at the Ashland University campus. The orchestra invites outstanding artists to perform each season and is responsible for bringing much talent to the Ashland community. |
Music Performances
North Central Ohio audiences can enjoy more than 30 faculty and student recitals, concerts by various groups and other music events each year. Performances by groups such as the University Choir, Chapel Choir, Madrigal Singers, Opera Workshop, Chamber Singers, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble provide music to satisfy all tastes. |
Art Gallery
The art department maintains the Coburn Gallery and an exhibition program that has been recognized by several national and regional journals and newspapers. The gallery features exhibitions of contemporary and historical significance. It also provides students with the opportunity to exhibit their works in annual student exhibitions. |
