Parents Can Get Involved Too!

The purpose of the Ashland University Parents Association (AUPA) is to encourage parents' active interest in the growth and development of their sons and daughters and the University. Through the years, the AUPA has built a strong tradition of identifying and sponsoring need-based university projects and have always provided ongoing support for the Ashland University Parents Fund - benefiting nine of ten students attending Ashland this year.

Through input from its members, the Ashland University Parents Association has announced a combination project of portable aluminum bleachers for the new intramural fields and signage identifying parking lots and new buildings. Construction of the new athletic complex has resulted in new multi-purpose intramural fields adjacent to the Recreation Center. Currently, over 1,100 students are involved in more than 30 intramural and special events along with 14 club sports at Ashland. By providing portable bleachers that can be easily moved, fans, including family and friends, will have a comfortable and convenient place to watch games. Also, with the recent construction and expansion on campus, identifying parking areas and new buildings has become increasingly difficult. Clearly marking these areas will benefit everyone from students and parents to alumni and visitors. The addition of these two projects on campus will enhance both student and parent experiences at Ashland.
