2007 Class Challenge Pledge Card
|
Our Challenge
Every year, each graduating class is challenged to raise money for the class gift. This gift is one that will become a visible memorial of appreciation and a tribute to our class.
When we leave Ashland University as the graduating class of 2007, the campus will not look the same as the day we arrived. Just as the University is growing and changing, over the past four years each of us has grown and changed as well. This is out opportunity to give back and dedicate a unique gift for out alma mater.
It is with excitement and dedication that the Class of 2007 gives the gift of three flag poles that will stand proudly in front of the Recreation Center and Arthur L. and Maxine Sheets Rybolt Sport Sciences Center.
Building on a Previous Challenge
The Class Challenge began with the Class of 1881. Each year since, the graduating class has presented the University with their gift at Commencement.
Laying the Groundwork for Future Challenges
As our class leaves Ashland University, these flag poles will remain a legacy for years to come. Our gift will be seen by students for generations to come and will be located in front of the Recreation Center and Arthur L. and Maxine Sheets Rybolt Sport Sciences Center. It will remind students of the pride we take, not only in Ashland University, but in our country as well.
Our Commitment
This is an ambitious Class Challenge and one that our class will rise to meet. We are requesting that each senior pledge $125 over the next five years in order to help us reach our $10,000 goal. The first payment is due one year from the date of graduation, and breaks down into a weekly amount of 50 cents. While making your pledge over the next four years, you will not be contacted during the Ashland University Annual Phone-a-Thon.
The 2007 Class Challenge will end at our Fifth Reunion. When we return to campus for Homecoming that fall, the flag poles will stand in place and will be identified with a placard.
Your gift can be made in honor or recognition of someone who has touched you throughout your Ashland University experience. Perhaps it’s your favorite professor, your advisor, or maybe your parents who have truly made your experience at Ashland what it is today. They will be notified with a card from the University letting them know that you made a gift in their honor.
If you do not think you can commit to a $125 gift at this time, please consider making a gift of any amount. All gifts and pledges will be helpful and needed as we strive to reach our goal.
