Eagles to Meet Huskies in GLIAC Men's Basketball Tourney

The Ashland University basketball team will open Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament action on Saturday, Mar. 1, at Michigan Tech. The Eagles and Huskies will tip off at 1 p.m.

Ashland, 16-10 overall and 8-9 in GLIAC play, is the eighth seed in the eight-team playoff field. Michigan Tech is the top seed. The Huskies are 25-2, 17-1 in the conference.

The AU-Tech game is one of four first-round games. Hillsdale will visit Findlay on Saturday at 1 p.m. and at 7 p.m., Wayne State will invade Gannon. Sunday at 3 p.m. Grand Valley State pays a visit to Northern Michigan.
