AU Linksters Fifth at Findlay

The Ashland University men’s golf team placed fifth over the weekend (Apr. 5-6) at the Findlay Oiler Spring Invitational. The event was hosted by the Sycamore Springs Country Club in Arlington, OH.

The Eagles posted a team score of 627. First place went to Ferris State (605) and Gannon (612) was the runnerup. Findlay (616) was third and Southern Indiana (626) finished fourth. A total of 13 teams were in the tournament field.

Findlay’s Kyle Weisenburger was the medalist at 145. Patrick Simmer of Ferris State shot 147 to finish second. Ashland’s Matt Marino shot 152 to finish in a tie for eighth.
