AU Men’s Golf Fourth at Grand Valley State

The Ashland University men’s golf team capped a busy weekend by placing fourth at the Grand Valley State Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 14.

AU had a team score of 619. The host Lakers won at 594 and Saginaw Valley State (607) was the runnerup. Ferris State (619) claimed third place. The field included 12 teams.

AU was led by senior Travis Hite, who finished in a tie for third at 148. GVSU’s Kevin Kremer was the medalist at 144. AU sophomore Adam Hlivko finished in a tie for fifth at 149.

On Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12-13, AU was in Big Rapids, MI, for the Bulldog Men’s Fall Invitational. Oakland led a 12-team field at 579 and Grand Valley State (581) was second. Ashland (620) was 11th.

Senior Bryan Brzozowski carded AU’s top finish. He finished in a tie for 14th at 148. Oakland’s Brian Stuard shot 137 to win the event.
