Men’s Golf Places Seventh at GLIAC Event

The Ashland University men’s golf team finished seventh at the 2003 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships. The two-day event concluded on Tuesday, Oct. 7. This year’s event, hosted by Gannon, was held at the Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, PA.

Wayne State and Ferris State paced the 12-team field. Both shot 884, +20. The Eagles ended the tourney at 921, +57. Mercyhurst finished one stroke ahead of AU in sixth place.

Kevin Kremer of Grand Valley State was the individual medalist at 214. AU’s Travis Hite and Kyle Swigart ended the event in a four-way tie for 23rd at +13.
