AU Golfers 15th at Regional Event

The Ashland University men’s golf team placed in a tie for 15th place at the Great Lakes Regional tournament, held Apr. 18-19 in Auburn, IN. The field consisted of 19 teams.

Ashland had a team score of 640 and that put the Eagles in a tie for 15th with Saint Joseph’s. Grand Valley State claimed the team title at 593. Ferris State (605) and Saginaw Valley State (605) tied for second.

Grand Valley State’s Kevin Kremer was the medalist. He shot two-over-par (144). Jason Buffone of Lewis and David Shearer of Northern Kentucky tied for second (+4/146).

Bryan Brzozowski led the Eagles with a 158. Matt Gasser shot 159.
