The Ashland University spring football game on April 16, provided Eagle fans with the chance to take a peek of next year’s team while contributing to a good cause. Admission to the game was by donation of either a canned good or monetary gift. AU raised $120 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and collected 185 units of canned food.

“I’m proud that AU can provide service in our community this way. We continue to look for worthy causes to support,” said AU director of athletics Bill Goldring.
“It was a very successful evening for all parties involved,” said AU director of sports marketing Ken Dworznik. “The fans were excited to see our players play and those same fans were very generous with canned goods and monetary donations.”

The football team also participated in a Lift-A-Thon to benefit the Dale-Roy School and raised over $600.
