Gaub Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball Team

Ashland senior Josh Gaub has been named to the first team, District 4 COSIDA Academic Team.

Ashland senior Josh Gaub (Brunswick, OH) has been named to the first team, District 4 COSIDA Academic Team. As a member of the district first team, Gaub now moves on to the national Academic All-America ballot. The Academic All-America team will be selected by sports information directors from around the country. Voting for the all-district team was done by sports information directors from District IV.

Gaub, a catcher, is an environmental science major with a 3.303 grade point average. This is the second consecutive year Gaub has been a first team District 4 choice.

The AU backstop has been named to first team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as a junior and senior. He’s hitting .409 with six homers and 57 RBI. This is his third season as a starter.
