AU Baseball Offers Winter Hitting, Pitching Clinics
January, February dates planned with hitting and pitching the emphasis

Youngsters looking to work on their hitting and pitching skills can get an early jump on the season as the Ashland University baseball program will offer pitching and hitting clinics on four days in January and February.

The 2005 Ashland University Advanced Hitting and Pitching Clinics are scheduled for Jan. 15, Jan. 22, Jan. 29 and Feb. 5. Each day has three times slots – 10-11 a.m., 11 a .m.-12 p.m. and 12-1 p.m. The clinics, open to players in grades 5-12 and ages 11 and older, will be held in Ashland University’s Conard Field House. Participants can register for more than one time slot. Cost of the clinic is determined by the number of sessions a participant attends.

Instruction groups will be limited to 8-12 participants. There will be four instructors per group. The clinic staff will consist of AU coaches and players. The clinic is under the direction of AU head coach John Schaly.
