The Ashland University baseball team absorbed its first loss of the season Monday (March 7), losing to Lynn, 10-3 in Fort Myers, FL.

The Eagles, now 9-1, fell behind early and could never recover. AU managed seven hits. The only player to have more than one safety was senior second baseman Adam Wilson, who finished 2-for-4.

Todd Wells was tagged with the loss. Wells gave up nine hits and nine runs in 4 1/3 innings.

Despite the loss, the Eagles have caught the attention of coaches and fans around the country. In this week’s College Baseball Writers of America Top 25 poll, the Eagles are ranked fifth.
