Ashland Football Holds Full Schedule of Camps

The Ashland University football coaching staff will host a number of summer camps in 2005. Information on each session follows.

Quarterback/Receiver Camp – This camp will be held on Tuesday, June 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp will emphasize fundamentals for quarterbacks and wide receivers and is for players in grades 7-12. Quarterbacks will work on footwork, three- and five-step drops and receive video instruction. Receivers will be tutored on blocking, route running and ball drills. Cost is $25 per camper (pre-registered) and $30 on the day of the camp.

Team Camp – There are two sessions of team camp. The first will be held June 26-28 and the second is scheduled for June 29-July 1. Each session will be limited to six teams. Coaches can design their own days or can have their players receive individual instruction from the Ashland coaching staff. Housing and meals are included in this package.

Kicking/Punt Camps – The kickers camp will be held June 26-28 and a punting camp will follow June 29-July 1. These camps are limited to 20 participants. There will be on-the-field work and video evaluation. Campers will have the opportunity to work with former NFL kicker and AU graduate Tim Seder.

7-On-7 Tournament – This one-day tournament will be held Tuesday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The field will be limited to 20 teams and each team is guaranteed to play four games. Cost is $150 per team.

Big Man Camp – This is a one-day camp designed for offensive and defensive linemen. It will be held on Tuesday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Offensive linemen will be tutored on stance and run and pass blocking. Defensive linemen will work on stance, stunts and movements and pass rush technique. Cost is $25 per camper (pre-registration) and $30 for walk-up registration.
