Not only was Saturday’s (April 30) Ashland University spring football game a success on the field, but the Eagles and the Make-A-Wish Foundation were winners off the gridiron. Ashland University student-athletes collected donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at Saturday’s spring game. All told, AU student-athletes collected $512. That’s a significant improvement over last year’s total of $320. AU student-athletes also collected canned food items at the Community Stadium gates on Saturday. The donated items were presented to the Salvation Army and Ashland’s Associated Charities. AU student-athletes collected 225 pounds of canned food items. |
