Wilson Named to First Team All-Region in Baseball

Ashland University second baseman Adam Wilson (New Philadelphia, OH) has been named to the America Baseball Coaches of America/Rawlings All-North Central Region first team.

As a member of the all-region first team Wilson will move on to the national All-America ballot.

The senior hit .347 in 45 games. He belted four homers and drove in 31 runs. Wilson was the team leader in triples (seven), runs scored (52) and stolen bases (20-21). He was second on the team in total bases.

Ashland had one second team all-region pick – junior outfielder David Waters (Wadsworth, OH). Waters hit a team-leading .390 with three homers and 34 RBI. Waters also led the team in on-base percentage (.500).

The Eagles finished the season 32-16, 13-7 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
