WMFD-TV To Air Six AU Games

The Ashland University athletic department and WMFD-TV in Mansfield, OH, announced plans today for the broadcast of six AU football games in 2005. WMFD-TV will tape and broadcast all five Ashland home games and hit the road for the Ashland at Findlay game on Oct. 29.

The games will be shown on WMFD Saturday nights at midnight and on Sundays at 7 p.m.

WMFD-TV is the only full power television station operating between Cleveland and Columbus, OH. The station is carried on 19 cable systems within eight counties of North Central Ohio and has coverage on channel 68 on Direct TV in the entire 17-county Cleveland market. The total coverage is in excess of 500,000 homes.

Sponsors for the television package are Allen Cabinetry/The Counter Top Shop, Coca-Cola, Coors Light, Donley Ford, Home Hardware, Huntington Bank, Jake’s Restaurant and Samaritan Hospital.
