The Ashland University athletic department has put together a plan to help AU fans assist with the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund.

At this Saturday’s (September 10, 1 p.m.) Gannon at Ashland football game, $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. There will also be donation stations set up inside Community Stadium for fans to visit. The Red Cross has asked that all donations be monetary. Checks should be made payable to the American Red Cross.

Fans who attend the Ashland University/Friendly’s Volleyball Tournament, which will be held Friday-Saturday, Sept. 9-10 at Kates Gymnasium, can also help the Red Cross. Again, $1 from each ticket sold to the tournament will be donated to the Red Cross. There will be donation stations at the tournament on both Friday and Saturday.
