AU Men’s Golf Places 11th at GVSU Fall Invitational

Playing on an extremely windy day in Allendale, MI, the Ashland University men’s golf team finished 11th out of 13 teams, finishing with a 627. Findlay took home the team title with a 595, finishing eight shots ahead of the host school at Monday’s (Sept. 19) Grand Valley State University Fall Invitational.

Jon Spelman spearheaded the AU effort. He finished in a tie for 15th overall with a 152. Adam Hlivko was next at 157, tying for 37th, while Matt Gasser tied for 41st after carding a 158. Grand Valley State’s Steve Larson and Davenport’s Nick Boone tied for the top spot at 147.
