Ashland University men’s golf coach Darrin Jones mixed up his lineup a bit during his team’s final tournament of the fall season. Jones’ changes worked out pretty well, as the Eagles placed second out of four teams at Monday’s (Oct. 17) Gannon Invitational. AU shot a 317 (+29) to place nine strokes behind the host Knights.

Tim Belden and Chris Robertson each tallied a 75 to tie for second, three strokes behind medalist Dave Patronik of Gannon. Patronik was the individual champion at the recent Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) tournament. While not included on Ashland’s team, Donny Kuba competed and tied for fifth with a 77.
