The 2005 Ashland University Winter Baseball Camp will feature two sessions. The camp, directed by AU head coach John Schaly and his staff, will be held at AU’s Conard Field House. The first session is Dec. 21-22 and the second session is Dec. 28-29.

The camp will run each day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. These clinics are tailored for players ages 7-18/grades 2-12. Lunch is not provided – campers should bring their own lunch and drinks. Accident insurance is not provided by the camp. All participants should bring glove or mitt, tennis shoes, hat and bat. Cost is $65 per session, each session is two days.

This year’s camp features individual videotape analysis of each camper hitting. All campers will have the opportunity to be evaluated with a radar gun. Instruction of the fundamentals of all baseball skills – pitching, catching, hitting, throwing, bunting, base running and defensive skills will be highlighted. The camp will utilize a batting practice tunnel, soft toss areas, pitching machines, batting practice tees, pitching mounds and a tartan floor surface for infield practice.
