Three Ashland University football players have earned All-America honors from d2football.com. The team was announced Tuesday (Dec. 20) and is selected by the staff at D2football.com.

Senior safety Devin Conwell was named a second team All-America. Conwell was an honorable mention pick by the organization last year. Earlier this week, Conwell was tabbed as a second team All-America by Daktronics.

Two other AU players – senior offensive lineman Blake Dickson and junior linebacker Brady Miller - were named as honorable mention All-Americas on Tuesday. For both players, this is the first time they’ve appeared on an All-America list.

Both Dickson and Miller were named first team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Miller led the Eagles in tackles (98). He had five sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss.

Dickson, a staple at left guard, was the ringleader for the offensive line. With Dickson helping to lead the way, tailback Jason Schwalm established a school single-season record for rushing with 1,494 yards.

The Eagles finished the season 9-2, 8-2 in the GLIAC.
