Q. What opportunities are there to worship on campus?
A. We have numerous worship opportunities at AU. During the week, students can attend any or all of the student driven worship services, these include: FCA, HOPE Fellowship, the Well, and Newman Catholic Ministries.
Q. How to get involved in Campus Ministry?
A. By attending one of the weekly services, or ministries that Religious Life has to offer. Check the website for service times and locations.
Q. Is there a quiet place to pray in the Chapel?
A. Yes, we have a designated "Prayer Room" located near the back Chapel doors. The room is a nice and comfortable place for quieting your hearts before the Lord.
Q. What activities does Religious Life have to offer?
A. Adventure Club provides students who enjoy the outdoors and have adventurous spirits to go on exciting off campus excursions. We hold a Christian Church every January, participate in community service projects such as the Hot Chocolate Ministry, 2:42 groups, and Connections Ministry after the Well to build community.
Q. What is Isaiah Project?
A. Isaiah Project is a service and outreach opportunity through Religious Life based on the idea that as Christians, we should be reaching out to the world around us. We do this by serving locally, nationally, and internationally.
Q. What is the worship atmosphere in Religious Life?
A. Contemporary, moderate, god-filling, and comfortable environment where everyone is welcome.
Q. Are there opportunities to participate in the worship band?
A. Yes, if you have any musical talent that you would like to share, please contact Aaron Wardle.
Q. Whom can I contact for more information?
A. Contact Colleen at the Religious Life office at (419)289-5489 or email chord@ashland.edu
Q. What is the Call?
A. The Call is about hearing and responding to God’s desire to raise up leaders in the Church. Discerning His call is the foundational purpose of this program. For those students who feel God is moving them in the direction of church leadership (as pastor, youth minister, Christian education director, worship leader, etc.), the Call is the perfect opportunity to explore that call and to prepare for seminary and ministry.
