Opening and Closing Dates, 2008-2009 Academic Year
A student's housing contract is only in effect for the academic year and only when classes are in session. The housing contract does not provide accomodations during the following breaks: Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks. During those breaks, students may keep their belongings in their room.
Students may request to stay on campus during these break periods. If approved, students may be assessed an additional charge. More information about break housing options, including summer housing options, will be made available closer to each break.
The meal plan is NOT in effect during break periods. The Eagle's Nest has limited hours. Students approved to stay on campus during break periods should plan accordingly for their meals.
Students must remove all belongings and completely vacate their room for Spring Closing. Students can move into summer housing at that time.
Fall Opening
- Halls open Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. for new students
- Halls open Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. for returning students
Thanksgiving Break
- Thankgiving Break Housing applications due Friday, November 21, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
- Halls close Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
- Halls open Sunday, November 30, 2008 at noon
- REGISTRATION FOR BREAK HOUSING IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME
Winter Break
- Winter Break Housing applications due Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
- Halls close Friday, December 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for ar all non-graduating seniors
- Halls close Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. for ar all graduating seniors
- Halls open Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.

Spring Break
- Spring Break Housing applications due Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
- Halls close Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
- Halls open Sunday, March 15, 2009 at noon

Easter Break
- The halls do NOT close for Easter Break
Spring Closing
- Halls close Friday, May 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. for all non-graduating seniors
