Julie Piercefield

Graduate Julie Piercefield, MSW, LSW, currently works as a behavior support specialist at the Nisonger Center on the medical center and The Ohio State University. In this position, she is responsible for writing behavior plans for adults with disabilities. Piercefield says that a huge benefit of AU’s program was a strong focus on writing skills. “I walked away with a stronger confidence in my writing skills and the ability to accurately and efficiently complete any writing task put before me in the job,” said Piercefield. She also enjoyed the variety of challenges in the social work program and complimented the environment. “Ashland provided an environment where the professors knew me by name and took a genuine interest in my well-being and my success not only while in the program, but also in my career after graduating.”
