Majors & Programs

Our Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre offers a well-rounded education providing students with a solid foundation in all areas of theatre: acting, design, directing, dramatic literature, history, stagecraft and theory.  Theatre majors have the freedom to explore before choosing one of these four tracks of specialization:

Bachelor of Arts in Theatre -Acting Track

Our Acting track provides students with opportunities to develop the skills of the actor through a sequence of courses that explore physical movement, text analysis, scene study, diction, acting theory and auditioning techniques. Read More

Bachelor of Arts in Theatre -Design Track Our Design/Technical track provides students with opportunities to develop the skills of theatre designers and technicians. Students can take classes in costume, lighting and scene design where they learn analysis, rendering and communication skills that prepare them to work on department productions. Read More
Bachelor of Arts in Theatre -General Track Our General track provides students with the opportunity to explore the design/tech as well as performance and management areas of theatre. Students can take courses in acting, directing, design, stage management or arts management. Read More
Bachelor of Arts in Theatre -Musical Theatre Track

Our Musical Theatre track provides students with opportunities to develop their performance skills in the areas of acting, dance and music. Students in this track are required to have an Applied Music minor and must audition for the Department of Music. Read More
