Meals

Convo - DesertsAshland University features award-winning dining services. Lunch is served in the University Dining Hall ("Lower Convo"), and dinners are catered each night. A strict vegetarian option is provided at each meal; however, students with very specific dietary restrictions and preferences should consult the Residency Menu before deciding to purchase the meal plan. All rooms on campus are equipped with full kitchens if it is determined that the menu will not suit your dietary needs. Students should notify the Administrative Director of dietary restrictions and special requests on their residency preference sheet.

Communal meals during the summer residency are an important step toward community-building. All faculty and visiting writers take part in both lunch and dinner throughout the two weeks. Students are highly encouraged, but not required, to dine with the program. Students can choose between two meal plans: dinner only or both lunch and dinner. Hot beverages and fruit and muffins are provided each weekday prior to workshops. Students who opt out of the meal plan may join the program for lunches in the dining hall by paying at the register upon entering. See the rates below.

Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance of the University, and the Eagle's Nest, a snack bar with dining and coffee selections in the Hawkins-Conard Student Center, is open all day for students who opt-out of the meal plan.

2014 Lunch and Dinner Meal Plan: $410
2014 Dinner Only Option: $275
