The following equations can help to determine the grams of nutrients needed in your diet.
Carbohydrates
Total Calories x 55% 4 Calories /g= grams of carbohydrates
Example: 2,000 x .55 4 Calories /g= 275g
Fat
Total Calories x 30% 9 Calories /g= grams of fat
Example: 2,000 x .30 9 Calories /g= 67g
Protein
Body weight (lbs.) 2.2kg x .8g= grams of protein
Example: 150 lbs. 2.2kg x .8g= 55g
