GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
-
ALAS was formed in 2002 with the express purposes of sustaining and enhancing the leadership skills, as well as inspiring the vision of school administrators in Ohio.
-
Our primary objective is to provide practical guidance through the presentation of proven leadership information in a collaborative environment emphasizing the use of interactive, participative presentations and discussions.
-
We believe that leadership is the most essential component to success in education. By assisting in the growth and development of leadership skills and strategies, educational leaders will be able to more effectively meet the ever-increasing challenges of educating children in this age of accountability.
-
We also believe that effective leaders must commit to the challenge and hard work of holding others accountable for meeting or exceeding the reasonable expectations of public education, constantly confronting and surmounting the obstacles that would otherwise compromise the attainment of this goal.
-
We subscribe to the philosophy that information is power and, as such, strive to provide dynamic presenters and helpful resources on leadership, the ever-changing legal topography affecting public education, and best practices in the delivery of educational programs and services.
-
We measure the success of our weekend programming by the number of participants who leave our seminars energized and inspired to continue to be the best they can be for the students, staff, parents, and other constituents of the school district.
