Social Work Club

The purposes of the Social Work Club are:

• To prepare and increase the competency necessary for practice in the helping professions
• To reach out to the local community with helping projects that will strengthen the ties between Ashland University, the city of Ashland, and the surrounding communities
• To educate both the campus and the community concerning the values of social work
• To concentrate on providing an atmosphere conducive to the interchange of ideas and for the promotion of a strong relationship between students and faculty
•  To help prepare for job placement
•  To promote leadership qualities and to strengthen the moral, intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth of its members
