Internships are central to the COBE experience. 

Some examples follow:

 - Katelyn Csenar, an accounting/finance double major, completed internships with Deloitte and Cummins Engine.  With Cummins, she traveled to England and several other countries, completing SOX compliance reports.

 - Beau Carpenter completed internships with Whitcomb & Hess and the J.M. Smucker Company as part of the accelerated BSBA/MBA in accounting.  Beau accepted a job in the accounting/finance program with Goodyear. 

 - Theresa Bradley graduated in May 2012 and continued at Golden Gate University with a master's in tax.  She also worked with Ernst and Young in their San Francisco office. 

 - Nate Serrano coordinated a hedging strategy for the Eagle Investment Group’s $1 million portion of the AU endowment in anticipation of the “Fiscal Cliff”.  He also interned at the J.M. Smucker Co., where he was responsible for administrative and communication support of the chairman of the board on a special project.

 - Nicholas Brecht, a marketing major, completed an internship with Hanline & Company, Inc. in Shelby and then went on to take a permanent job with the company.

 - Tanya Cool, a May 2012 graduate, started as a field property claims representative trainee at Westfield Group/Westfield Insurance.

 - Kelly Cadman, a May 2012 graduate, started as a hotel/convention sales intern at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas.

 - Leah Chalet, a May 2012 graduate, began full-time work as a staff accountant in the Assurance Department at Meaden & Moore.

 - Amanda Januzzi, a May 2012 graduate, is a corporate events/hospitality coordinator at Westfield Center.

 - Emlyn Knerem graduated in December 2012 as a sport management major after completing an internship with the University of Akron Women’s Softball team. She accepted a coaching position at Keystone High School, Ohio, and will look for college coaching opportunities following the spring of 2013. 

 - Sport management major Ian Wharton, will graduate in May 2013, following an extensive Internship with the Cleveland Cavaliers from the summer of 2012 until the end of the 2012-13 season.  He currently has several offers for graduate sssistantships for his master's degree.

 - Sport Management major, Alex Sheil, recently completed a field experience with the Saigon Sports Academy in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Alex was responsible for organizing and managing a summer aquatics adult and youth program.

 - Chris Kohuth, a senior majoring in sport management, completed an internship in fall 2012 with Yale University's athletic department.
