Dr. Leone joined the EDAD faculty in August 2010 as an assistant professor, after working five years as an Ashland University adjunct instructor at the Columbus Program Center.  Since 1980, Dr. Leone has served administratively in Ohio as a pre-school director, a junior high principal, an assistant superintendent, and for 23 years as a local superintendent and a city superintendent in three different Ohio school districts.  He also served as an elected member of the STRS Board of Directors between 2005 and 2009.  Dr. Leone holds a bachelor's degree in education from Bowling Green State University, a master's degree in public relations from American University in Washington D.C., and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Arkansas.  Before joining the faculty at Ashland University, Dr. Leone worked as an adjunct instructor for both Miami University and the University of Dayton.  Dr. Leone began his educational career in 1974 with the Alexandria (Va.) City School District.
