Teacher Leader Endorsement

In addition to meeting the requirements of all individuals enrolling in Ashland University's Dwight Schar College of Education graduate programs, individuals entering the Teacher Leader Endorsement program must also submit evidence of the following.

  • A masters degree with accompanying verification (transcript from accredited institution).
  • A current Ohio educator license.
  • A portfolio that contains documentation indicating four years of successful teaching experience as evidenced by evaluations and student growth measures.

Students must fulfill prerequisites and concurrent course work. According to the Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Board of Regents, application for the Teacher Leader Endorsement cannot be made until the candidate has earned his or her master's degree. with a minimum of four years teaching experience.
